Ghana coach Otto Addo has admitted that his side could have done better against Angola despite the poor nature of the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Black Stars hosted the Palancas Negras on Thursday hoping to start their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on a good note but failed ultimately.
A late goal from Felicio Joao Milson in injury time was the decider as the visitors ended FGhana’s 24-year dominance at the stadium.
I don’t want to plant this loss on the pitch even though it wasn’t good. Against Central African Republic, it was also not good but we won. We have to do better.”
Despite the disappointment, Otto Addo was quick to point out positives from the game expressing confidence in the team ahead of the remaining fixtures
The second half makes me very confident we can qualify. The good thing is that it’s all in our hands because we still have to face all the teams in the group.”
The Black Stars will now shift their attention to their next game against Niger on Monday in Morocco as they aim to bounce back from the atrocious show in Kumasi
