When Meru recalled the incident, she said that she had given up all of her income to help her unemployed and struggling husband at the time. She borrowed money several times to finish building a house for him in his village out of love and devotion. “At first, I took a KSh 200,000 loan but did not give him all the money. After a while, I took another KSh 200,000. The construction was not as quick as in between, there were other house needs like shopping. He barred me from starting a business, warning me that he would chase me out.” As they relocated to his village, Meru’s life became even more difficult. 13 dead in fatal accident on Kumasi-Obuasi Highway

Thirteen (13) people have tragically lost their lives in a fatal accident that occurred on Monday, October 14, 2024, when a VIP bus travelling from Kumasi to Enchi in the Western North Region veered off the road and plunged into a ditch near the town of Kwapia, close to Obuasi. Citi News’ Hafiz Tijani reported that police confirmed 11 passengers died on the spot, with one additional passenger succumbing to injuries at the hospital. East Legon: Two ladies burnt beyond recognition in fatal accident (Photos)

A devastating tragedy struck East Legon on Saturday, October 12, 2024, as two vehicles were ravaged by a fire that burned two of the occupants beyond recognition. The horrific incident left two individuals trapped inside the Acura vehicle and eventually killed by the flames. According to a spokesperson of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), ADO Alex King Nartey, the fire was ignited by an electric pole that fell on one of the vehicles. “There was a head-on collision at East Legon, close to the Omama Shop, involving an Acura vehicle and a Jaguar vehicle and it hit a wooden electric pole, causing the wires on the pole to fall on the car sparking a fire.” “Two people were trapped in the car and even though they were burnt beyond recognition, we figured that they were ladies.” The two people who were burnt to death were occupants of the Acura vehicle while the two other passengers of the Jaguar were reportedly rushed to the hospital.
